K

Phobia Condition
Koumpounophobia Fear of buttons on clothing.  This phobia regularly leads to feelings of fear and disgust when sufferers are exposed to buttons, either visually or physically..

L

Phobia Condition
Lilapsophobia Fear of tornadoes or hurricanes as well as thunder and lightning.
Lepidopterophobia Fear of butterflies and moths.

M

Phobia Condition
Mageirocophobia Fear of cooking. Most frequently, this can be caused by negative reactions to common culinary mishaps, or from the fear of others’ cooking.
Masklophobia Fear of people in masks, costumes and mascots, more commonly seen in the early years of child development between 0–8 years of age.
Monophobia Fear of being alone or of being isolated.  Sufferers need not be physically alone, but just believe that they are.
Myrmecophobia This is a fear of ants. It is common for those who suffer from this phobia to also have a wider fear of insects in general.
MysophobiaGermophobia Fear of germs, contamination or dirt.

Phobia Condition
Neophobia Fear of anything new or change. In its milder form, it can manifest as the unwillingness to try new things or break from routine.
Noctiphobia Fear of the night. It is a common fear or phobia among children and, to a varying degree, adults. A fear of the dark does not always concern darkness itself; it can also be a fear of possible or imagined dangers concealed by darkness. Some degree of fear of the dark is natural, especially during phases of child development.
Nomophobia Fear of, or anxiety caused, by not having a working mobile phone.
Nosocomephobia Fear of hospitals.
Nosophobia Fear of contracting a disease.
Nostophobia, ecophobia Fear of returning to one’s childhood home, often combined with its comorbidity, which is a fear of houses.
Numerophobia Fear of numbers;. the fear of dealing with numbers, or the fear of particular numbers.
Nyctophobia This is a phobia characterised by a severe fear of the dark. It is triggered by the brain’s disfigured perception of what would, or could, happen when in a dark environment. It can also be temporarily triggered if the mind is unsteady or scared about recent events or ideas.
